Snap-8 (acetyl octapeptide-3) is a synthetic peptide studied for its interaction with the SNARE protein complex. As an extension of the shorter Argireline sequence, Snap-8 has been examined for its binding to the SNARE complex involved in vesicle fusion.

In vitro studies have investigated Snap-8’s effects on muscle cell contraction frequency and extracellular matrix protein expression in dermal fibroblast cultures. These studies characterize the peptide’s behavior in cultured cells.
