Semax and Selank are distinct synthetic heptapeptides discussed in experimental neuroscience literature. Semax is an ACTH-fragment analog with the sequence MEHFPGP; Selank is a tuftsin analog with the sequence TKPRPGP. Semax: a defined experimental model
Dolotov and colleagues investigated Semax binding in rat basal forebrain membrane preparations and measured brain-derived neurotrophic factor responses in rats. Those measurements describe the particular experimental systems in the publication; they do not establish a clinical outcome or characterize a Vault batch.

Selank: gene-expression measurements
Volkova and colleagues examined expression of neurotransmission-related genes in rat frontal cortex in a 2016 Selank study. Its gene-expression measurements should be interpreted within that model and study design, rather than generalized to people or assumed to describe another peptide.
